Join a community or social action group to help local causes
There will already be many community groups and other organisations active in your local area on a range of issues. Many groups will have opportunities for you to get involved with and be hands-on with making a difference to your community.
These groups can also be useful as a source of help and advice and may even be able to give practical support to any activities of your own.
