Empathy Souls is a community outreach organisation that works towards the empowerment, education, and support of  the Afro Caribbean community.   It is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families. The organisation strives to provide resources and guidance to the community. With the help of their supporters, they are able to ensure that the voices of the  Afro Caribbean community to be heard.

Empathy Souls provides free and confidential support to those who may feel isolated or lacking in resources. This may include mentoring and educational support, crisis counselling, and vocational services. Through a series of projects, they provide people with the tools to build resilience and improve their lives.  One of our current projects for which we are seeking funding for research is to offer a safe space for those with lived experience of the prison system, including ex-offenders and those on the brink of entering the system.

Empathy Souls also works to influence policy and raise awareness of issues surrounding Afro Caribbean women and girls. Through research, they aim to understand and challenge the current criminal justice system, advocating for improved services, policies and practices that better meet the needs of those affected.

In addition, Empathy Souls runs a series of events and activities throughout the year. These range from workshops, seminars, and conferences to mentoring clubs and sporting activities. Through these activities, they are able to raise awareness of issues, build relationships with young people, and encourage positive change.
