Southall Clean up

Meet at 10.30am Southall Community College, Beaconsfield Road, Southall, UB1 1DP

Come and join us to clear overgrown land, in front of our college on Beaconsfield Road, and help us plant the first road side edible garden in Southall.

The event is partnership work between Berkeley Group, Southall Waterside, West London’s College and Everyone Active at Southall. The objective is to clean up a large section of overgrown land in front of the College and Sports Centre buildings on Beaconsfield Road. The area has had a negative impact as it has been overgrown, been used for fly tipping, attracted vermin and in general bought down the tone of the area which is a busy stretch of road. As a result of this there has been issues with ASB which the Local Policing team and residents have raised. By pulling together the partners we have arranged this day and hope that the community will join us to clean up the area but more importantly help to plant the first road side edible garden in Southall. This is being delivered in conjunction with Southall Transition a local environmental charity. The Met Police and Police cadets will also be joining on the day to support.
