Your Voice, Your Ealing

Ealing Town is the borough’s main commercial and retail centre. The town centre also known as Ealing Broadway and the neighbourhoods of Ealing Common, Montpelier, Pitshanger, Northfields, West Twyford, Hanger Hill, North, South and West Ealing are well known for their thriving communities.

One of the area’s treasures is Ealing Studios, the heart of British film history, where timeless classics and modern hits were created. Just down the road, Pitzhanger Manor invites you to wander into its art-filled rooms and take in the tranquillity of its beautiful gardens.
Each year Ealing Civic Society makes awards to recognise and encourage building and environmental projects that make a noteworthy contribution to the community or to the townscape amenity around the wider London Borough of Ealing.

Community life in Ealing is always bustling, especially around the green spaces that locals love, like Walpole Park, Haven Green and Lammas Park to name a few, where families gather, friends meet for picnics, and children play. These parks come alive in the summer with a series of exciting festivals for people to celebrate including comedy, blues and jazz events and the New Gen Festival, a dedicated festival curated ‘by and for youth. Some of the many annual events that take place around the town bringing people together to enjoy each other’s company.

The town is home to two community managed libraries with residents and volunteer groups managing the day-to-day running of their buildings under a ‘community managed’ status in the Northfields and West Ealing areas.

Ealing’s diverse communities add to its appeal, reflected in the area’s international cafés, restaurants, and family-owned shops. With quick connections into Central London on the Elizabeth Line, Ealing stays well-connected yet remains a place where people know their neighbours and cherish their community.
