About this project
A new year means setting new goals, for most people that means wanting to be better connected to their neighbours and the place that they live at, work at, or visit frequently. One of the ways we can all do that is by working together to improve communal spaces or by making better use of them. It starts as an idea and flourishes into hosting a gardening club at a local green space, improving a derelict cabin to support crafting classes or working with neighbours to spruce up an alleyway. Making it happen can come with its hurdles, which is why the Transform Your Space programme has been set up, to give you the confidence to turn your big or small idea into a project your local community can enjoy.
Transform Your Space is made up of a range of resources, there is £100,000 of available funding, advice and information on setting up your group, how to write great bids and lots more to take you through the milestones of turning an idea into reality. The launch event will be a fantastic opportunity to hear first-hand from our partners, Open4Community, Spacehive and the Freshwater Foundation on how they can provide support for community-led projects.
To learn more about the Transform Your Space programme, attend the launch on Thursday 7th February 2019 (6.15pm-8.30pm) at the Southall Manor House, The Green, UB2 4BJ by booking here.
